Choose PDF, JPG or PNG
First check which formats the receiving website accepts. Then choose the format that suits the material you are sending.
| Format | Useful for | What to watch for |
|---|---|---|
| Several pages kept together as one document | Photos inside a PDF still need to be clear enough to read. | |
| JPG | Photographs and sites requesting one image per upload | Compression can blur small text. JPG does not support transparency. |
| PNG | Screenshots, fine lines and images requiring transparency | Photo-heavy PNG files can be large. |
Convert photos into a document
Choose Combine documents and photos to convert JPG or PNG images into a PDF. Each image becomes one page. You can add existing PDF pages to the same output.
Convert PDF pages to images
Choose Convert PDF or PNG to JPG or Convert PDF or JPG to PNG, depending on the required output. Each PDF page becomes its own image, so a five-page PDF produces five image files. Preview the images and download them separately or together in a ZIP.
Converting PDF text into an image removes its selectable text layer from that output. Keep the original PDF if you need to copy or search the text later. This tool does not perform optical character recognition (OCR).
Transparency and clarity
When converting a transparent PNG to JPG, this tool uses a white background. PNG image output can preserve transparency from a source image. Converting a blurry JPG into PNG will not restore lost detail.
PDF-to-image conversion uses a maximum long edge of 2,400 pixels. The result is intended for ordinary screen viewing and uploads, not as a guarantee of print-production quality. Check small text in the preview.
What is supported?
The current tool accepts PDF, JPG and PNG. It does not accept Word, Excel, HEIC or password-protected PDFs. Export other documents to PDF in their original app first. It also does not edit the words inside a PDF.
